Anthem Ventura is part a family of churches helping people find their way back to God. The Anthem family of churches is united around shared mission, vision, values, and submission to the Lordship of King Jesus. In our cities, we are working to obey Jesus in helping people find their way back to God.
Justice
Racial Justice
God hates racism.
We look to Jesus, who experiences anger at the evil in our world, who establishes justice and righteousness, and who works on behalf of the oppressed. We also look to Jesus who listens intently, grieves deeply, and weeps. As apprentices of Jesus, we aim to follow his example.
We mourn, grieve, and lament the brutal murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonaa Taylor and the countless others that have needlessly suffered and lost their lives at the hands of racism, injustice, police brutality, and systems and structures that are weighted against people of color.
We are confident that God sees, hears, knowns, and is deeply grieved as well. No one understands what it's like to lose a loved one to injustice and hate more than God, our Father, who willingly and sacrificially gave up his own Son for our sake.
May Anthem Church be a place for hard conversations, and may we have the boldness to proclaim and demonstration the whole gospel - the reconciliation and restoration of all things through the work and person of Jesus Christ. May Him be the glory for ever and ever.
Matthew 6v9–13
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
