Anthem Ventura is part a family of churches helping people find their way back to God. The Anthem family of churches is united around shared mission, vision, values, and submission to the Lordship of King Jesus. In our cities, we are working to obey Jesus in helping people find their way back to God.
God is a generous God
As we read Scripture, we see evidence of this everywhere. James says it this way, “Every good and perfect gift is from above...” God invites us to follow Him by living lives filled with generosity. The joy and purpose of generosity is experienced when we align our lives with God and watch Him do what only He can do!
God has asked us to give intentionally, regularly and generously so we might grow in our faith. When we give we are declaring our desire to steward everything God has given us according to his purposes. He desires to bless his people, and for them to be a blessing to others.
Giving is also a means to release the stronghold that finances and material things have in our hearts. God knew that his people would become attached to things and in turn, worship them instead of him. We give regularly so that we are continually put in a position of humility, service, and trust; so that he can free us from the grasp of materialism.
What is the challenge?
The 90 Day Generosity Challenge invites us each into a posture of living where we proclaim, “God owns it all and I invest my finances for the sake of his purposes.” This is a commitment between you and God. How do I take the challenge?
There are three ways to commit to giving:
#1 MAKE GIVING A HABIT
If you attend Anthem Church and you don’t give to the church, start by making a commitment to give regularly for 90 days.
#2 LIVE ON LESS
If you give regularly to the church, start giving generously by living on 90% and giving 10% for 90 days.
#3 GIVE ABOVE & BEYOND
If you already give regularly and have experienced living on less—or if you have the spiritual gift of generosity—choose to give above and beyond.
Then, see God's faithfulness during this 90-day and beyond!
